Gordon Feller

Director, Urban Innovations, Cisco

Gordon Feller leads city-focused projects, on a worldwide basis, with leaders from government, private enterprises and independent sector. 

Prior to joining Cisco, Feller was CEO of Urban Age -- a World Bank spin-off that, since its’ founding, has fostered breakthroughs within and among cities. In his various roles over three decades, Feller has advised multinationals, NGOs, foundations, governments on the big barriers and the wicked problems they face. His clients have included the World Bank, UN, German Government, Canada Government, Rockefeller Foundation, IBM, Reuters, Metropolis.

Feller’s projects showcase the many ways that technology enables powerful solutions to emerge, each one addressing practical elements of the complex nexus of urban problems – especially in places where economics, policy, and sustainability intersect.

Feller has written hundreds of articles for newspapers and magazines, including CFO, Urban Land, TIME, and Financial Times. He formerly edited Urban Age and Planet Earth.

Feller and his colleagues organize a variety of leadership events, including the annual “Meeting of the Minds,” a gathering which next convenes in San Francisco in October 2012.

His Columbia University degrees are a Bachelors/Political Science and Masters/International Affairs, both cum laude.
