Cam Kernahan
Group Vice President, WiFi, Shaw Communications
Cam Kernahan is leading the implementation of Shaw's city-wide WiFi in the three major western Canadian cities of Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Shaw's plans for city-wide Wifi are a bold move that will faciliate entirely new business models for both Shaw Communications and the companies in the communities in which they serve.
Cam is the Group Vice President, WiFi at Shaw Communications and has responsibility for the development and implementation of Shaw's WiFi Network across the country.
Mr. Kernahan joined Shaw in 2004 and has held positions as Vice President, Operations and Group Vice President, Wireless and Business. In his Operations role Cam was responsible for various operating regions across the country including sales, installation, service and customer support for our residential customer base. In addition, as part of his Business role, Cam had responsibility for all aspects of Shaw Business servicing large enterprises and growing small and medium sized business customers.
Cam has over 30 years experience within the telecommunications industry with roles in operations, product management and engineering. Cam has worked in a number of areas around the world (including Mexico, China and Europe) and in North America.
Mr. Kernahan has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Cam lives in Calgary with his wife and has three grown children.
